Personally, I originate from a rugby and endurance sport background, opposites I know! Having played rugby for Harlequins, Scottish Exiles, and Jordan National squad, elite sport and sports performance is in my blood. Originally from Manchester, my mum died at an early age and my dad took a job abroad. Whilst living in Jordan, all the expat community socialised through sport, and a lot of this was run through the Hashemite Hash House Harriers, which is a worldwide running club. This sparked my interest into endurance running. Completing several ultra-endurance events in my time abroad including the Dead Sea ultra-marathon (50km), Dead to red (242km) until recently I was the youngest runner to ever complete this, and Tour Wadi Rum (distance unknown) over four days.

On returning to the UK, I received a serious injury whilst playing rugby for Harlequins, this is where my interest of strength and conditioning began. My education began with the foundations of personal training and group exercise. This set me on a journey of seeking out more knowledge and I have completed hundreds of courses all the way up to my UKSCA (United Kingdom Strength and Conditioning Association) accreditation and I am now in the final stages of my Master's in Strength and Conditioning Science. Accumulating in excess of fourteen thousand coaching hours over the years, I have had the pleasure of training everyone from late-stage rehabilitation, getting a bride into a dress, weekend warriors, to international athletes.

In recent years my coaching focus has fallen in two specific camps, powerlifting and ultra-endurance triathlon. I have had a lot of success in both sectors, with athletes achieving national and international rankings. Athlete successes include National selections in powerlifting, aquathlon, triathlon, and swimming. I have had athletes complete at European, commonwealth, and world championships. And have had the pleasure of training athletes to podium finishes in European Aquathlon championships, Commonwealth bench press championships, USA swim team relay championships, and Ironman and 70.3 world classification. I believe that knowledge in both fields gives me a unique advantage, as strength and conditioning fall hand in hand. My coaching philosophy is “Build an engine and make them strong!”
